100 Mistakes in Your English Bible — by Yair Levi
A good translation is a window — you look through and see the garden. But Hebrew isn't the window. Hebrew is the door.

When you read Scripture in the original, you don't just see the garden — you walk out into it. You feel the air. You discover that the word for sin is an archer's word for a missed shot — and suddenly your worst day stops feeling like a verdict.

This book is a hundred small homecomings: a hundred words you already sing, pray, and lean on — opened from the inside, in the language God first spoke them. You bring nothing but the faith you already have.

A taste of the doors

Three words. Three doors you've walked past your whole life.

Each of the 100 entries takes one word, the verse it lives in, and the door the Hebrew quietly opens.

Sin

חֵטְא
chet
It sounds like a crime, a verdict — a word that makes you hide from God. — the door opens — It's an archer's word: to miss the mark. And God is beside you at the line, holding out the next arrow.

Moses' Horns

קֶרֶן
keren
For a thousand years, artists carved Moses with horns coming down from Sinai. — the door opens — One word, two faces: a horn and a ray of light. His face was shining. Time with God gets on you.

The Rib

צֵלָע
tzela
God takes a rib from sleeping Adam — a single small bone. — the door opens — The word means side. Not built from scraps — two halves of one whole, turned to face each other at last.
So you can relax into it

This book is a gift handed across a table — never a gotcha.

Your English Bible is a gift that carried the word of God across oceans and centuries into your hands. This book never takes that from you. Not once.

  • Warm, devotional, and written to bring you nearer to God
  • Readable in any order — one entry with your morning coffee

Where this book was born

It was born at my own table.

I'm a Levite — for three thousand years my family has had one job, and it hasn't changed: to lead worship, to help people sing their way toward God. I do it on a stage now, with a guitar, in Hebrew, mostly to rooms full of Christians who have loved the Bible their whole lives.

And again and again, after the music, someone would come up to me — a pastor, a mother, a teenager — and ask me about a Hebrew word. I'd answer. And I would watch their face change.

"Because the word they had carried their whole life had a door in it they'd never seen."

This book is the answer I always wished I'd had time to give them. — Yair

Bless the work

This is a ministry, not just a book.

For three thousand years my family has had one calling — to lead worship, to help people sing their way toward God. The music, the teaching, this book — it's all the same table. If something here has blessed you and you'd like to give beyond the book, a gift of any size helps carry the work to more tables around the world.

Questions at the door

But I don't know Hebrew — is this for me? +

You don't need to. You'll never learn a single letter. I've done the walking; you just come along, and I'll hold every door open. You bring the faith you already have — I'll bring the Hebrew.

Is this saying my Bible is wrong? +

Never. Your English Bible is a gift — a clear, honest window through which millions have met God. This book doesn't take that from you on any page. It simply opens a few doors the translation had to leave closed.

What do I get when I pre-order? +

You lock in the launch pre-sale price today. The day the book releases, the file is delivered straight to your inbox — nothing to chase, nothing to wait in line for.

How is the book organized? +

As 100 standalone entries across seven parts. Read it cover to cover as a journey, or open it like a window on any morning and read the one that matches the kind of day you're having.
